Post High School Education
Columbia College was
established in 1851 as Christian College, a private women's college. In
1970, the name was changed to Columbia College and it became a co-ed facility.
Enrolling more than 6,000 students, Columbia College offers degrees of
study in 12 major areas, with day, evening and weekend programs available. Moberly Area Community
College founded in 1927, is a public two-year college enrolling approximately
1,600 students. Moberly Area Community College offers associates degrees
of arts, science and nursing. Day and weekend programs are available. Stephens College,
a private women's college founded in 1833, has a student enrollment of
approximately 1,050. Stephens College offers degrees of study in 19 majors
and 20 minors, with day and weekend programs available. University of Missouri-Columbia(MU) founded in 1839, enrolls 22,313 students and offers degrees of study in 18 schools and colleges. Day, evening and weekend programs are available. MU is one of the few institutions in the country possessing five professional schools on a single campus: Agriculture, Engineering, Law, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. |
